Nia Long Has Another Reunion Coming: Confirmed for "Are We There Yet" Franchise

  The actress is reuniting with Ice Cube for the third installment of the Are We There Yet? franchise. Nia Long is going back to a role she first played more than 20 years ago. The actress will reprise her role as Suzanne Kingston in Are They Gone Yet? , the third film in the Are We There Yet? franchise, reuniting with Ice Cube, who will return as Nick Persons. The film is currently in development at Skydance Sports. Long and Ice Cube first appeared together in the 2005 comedy Are We There Yet? , which followed Nick as he tried to win over Suzanne while taking her two children, Lindsey and Kevin, on a cross-country road trip. The pair returned for Are We Done Yet? in 2007, with Nick and Suzanne now married and building a home together. Nearly 20 years later, Suzanne and Nick are entering another chapter. Black Girl Magic Reigns: Teyana Taylor, Tracee Ellis Ross and Olandria Carthen to Be Honored at Ebony Power 100 Gala


Ebony  is celebrating another year of Black excellence with the Ebony Power 100 Awards, recognizing 100 honorees across 10 categories, including artists, business, community crusaders, entertainment powerhouses, and STEM trailblazers.

Special honorees for 2025 include Teyana Taylor (Entertainer of the Year), Tracee Ellis Ross (Pathbreaker of the Year), and Olandria Carthen (EBONY Power 100 People’s Choice Award).

From starring alongside Regina Hall in One Battle After Another to releasing her Escape Room album, which included visual cameos from Aaron Pierre and an interlude by Issa Rae, there is truly no one more deserving of Entertainer of the Year than Teyana Taylor.

We have been living for Tracee Ellis Ross since Girlfriends. She’s been our Joan, our Rainbow Johnson (Black-ish), and the heir to her legendary mother, Diana Ross. Yet this year, she revealed another beautiful layer. On July 25, audiences were introduced to Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross, a series that explores the themes, beauty, and vulnerability of traveling as a single woman.

Audiences fell in love with Olandria Cathern on Love Island USA. The Howard University alum continues to be a walking inspiration for dark and brown-skinned girls and women across the world. Her impact, excellence, and confidence remain undeniable.

The  Ebony Power 100 Gala is scheduled for November 4, 2025 in Los Angeles.
