After once being told by a specialist that she was infertile, KJ Smith’s story came full circle with the arrival of her baby girl, Pryde JaNea Black, born on October 23, 2025—a beautiful reminder that God always has the final say.

KJ Smith and Skyh Black’s love story began on the set of Tyler Perry’s Sistas in 2021. The two didn’t begin dating until season two, but from the start, they were both intentional about their connection. During an episode of Black Love, the couple shared that there wasn’t a “transition phase” from friendship to romance. Both simply knew they wanted something real and pursued it with purpose.
